'The Game' Released After Posting Bail

(CBS) LOS ANGELES The rapper known as "The Game" posted bail early Saturday after being arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats.

Jayceon Terrell Taylor, arrested Friday night at his Glendale home, posted $50,000 bail around midnight and released from the lockup at the Los Angeles Police Department's 77th Street Station, according to an officer.

Police searched Raylor's home and drove him away in handcuffs, according to media reports. He was captured on camera making faces and saying he was "not guilty."

A woman, who identified herself as the rapper's mother, came to the Glendale home Friday night and asked a television crew why the young man was arrested. When told it was on suspicion of making criminal threats, she responded that "he's a gangsta rapper."

The Grammy-nominated Taylor, signed with Geffen Records, grew up in Compton.

A white teenager who lives near Taylor in Glendale smirked at the irony of the street-tough rapper being arrested in the suburban neighborhood.

According to media reports, Taylor was arrested November in New York City for telling a cab driver he was an undercover officer and persuading the cabbie to run red lights.

TMZ has learned that rapper The Game is in police custody, after LAPD officers executed a search of his L.A. area home in connection with an incident that took place in February.

According to police sources, officers are currently transporting him to a station, where he will be booked on charges of making criminal threats. We're told he's being extremely cooperative.

The Game, a multi-platinum selling rap star, was formerly a part of 50 Cent's G Unit group.

The Game Stars In 'Tournament Of Dreams,' On DVD April 24

For some young adults, dreams may be all they have to live for, especially when living in the inner-city. Tournament Of Dreams is a touching American journey that follows six young ladies on the Woodlyn High School Lady Cavaliers Basketball Team as they strive to achieve their dreams, while facing the adversities of life head-on.

After careful convincing and persuasion by his prodigy daughter, a former basketball star (Tony Todd; Candyman, Sleepwalk, The Crow) comes in as a new coach to take the team to new heights, not only on the court, but also in their personal lives. He guides the "Lady Cavs" to a winning season, but not before forcing them to bounce back from various adversities - peer pressure, grades, dating, sex, inter-racial relations, divorce and loss.

Tournament of Dreams is a dramatic and uplifting coming-of-age story. It portrays the unique struggles a group of young female athletes, their coach, and mentors face to save their high school’s basketball program. The film also stars rapper The Game (born Jayceon Taylor) and Olympic legend Carl Lewis.
